RMET Strategies LLC

Software for political operations

Campaign work is full of jobs nobody built a tool for.

RMET Strategies LLC is a small software company. We make practical, narrow tools for campaigns, committees, and the firms that serve them — the kind that take a two-hour manual task and turn it into a file upload.

Selected work

Built privately, then kept running.

Everything we make is built under contract for a single client. Client names, systems, and the tools themselves stay confidential — what follows is the shape of the work, not the specifics.

Creative QC and transcoding

Web app

A team shipping video and display files to a dozen platforms was learning about spec failures from the vendor, days later. We built an upload-and-check tool that returns a pass/fail against each platform's requirements and hands back a transcode that clears on the first try.

Email production at volume

Web app

Fundraising email HTML was being hand-edited before every send — links swapped, tracking parameters applied, tokens checked, unsubscribe blocks pasted in. We turned the whole pass into a single upload, with per-vendor variants and team accounts.

Send monitoring and alerting

Monitoring

Nobody could confirm a blast had actually landed until someone happened to check a phone. We built independent monitoring that watches real inboxes and devices, then alerts the team when a send goes out broken or doesn't go out at all.

Rate cards and buy reconciliation

Data platform

Station rate cards arrived as a stack of inconsistent files with no two daypart names alike. We normalized them into a searchable database and tracked actual buys against it, so discrepancies surface before the invoice does.

Donor and CRM synchronization

Integration

Contributions landing in a payment processor had to reach the CRM the same day, verified and deduplicated. We built the pipeline, with retries and error handling so a failed record surfaces instead of quietly disappearing.

Large-file data operations

Pipeline

Voter and donor files too large for a spreadsheet were being split and merged by hand before every upload. We automated the matching, suppression, and format conversion, and put it on a schedule.

What we build

Narrow tools that do one job completely.

Our products come out of real operational problems, and we take on custom work in the same spirit. If you're describing a spreadsheet with twelve tabs and a person whose whole job is maintaining it, that's usually a good fit.

Internal tools & web apps

  • Python
  • Flask
  • Postgres
  • Auth
  • Billing

Purpose-built applications for a workflow your team already has but is running by hand. Multi-user accounts, permissions, audit trails, and billing where it's needed — deployed and maintained, not handed over as a zip file.

Data pipelines & file processing

  • Voter files
  • Donor data
  • Matching
  • Dedupe
  • ETL

Large-file work that breaks spreadsheets: matching, deduplication, suppression, format conversion, and scheduled jobs that run without anyone remembering to run them.

Integrations & automation

  • Webhooks
  • REST APIs
  • n8n
  • Job queues
  • Sync

Connecting the systems that don't talk to each other. Fundraising processors to CRMs, ad platforms to reporting, forms to whatever has to happen next — with retries and error handling, so a failed record doesn't quietly disappear.

Quality control & monitoring

  • Spec checks
  • Alerting
  • Uptime
  • Transcoding

Automated checks on the things that are expensive to get wrong: creative specs, send integrity, link validity, delivery. You find out from us before you find out from the client.

Hosting & maintenance

  • Deploys
  • Backups
  • Migrations
  • Support

We run what we build. Managed hosting, database migrations, dependency updates, and a real person to email when something looks wrong at 11pm in October.

How we work

A deliberately boring stack.

We pick tools that will still be maintainable in four years by someone who isn't us. No framework churn, no infrastructure you need a specialist to touch.

Application
Python and Flask, server-rendered by default. JavaScript where it earns its place.
Data
PostgreSQL, with versioned migrations. Redis and job queues for anything long-running.
Infrastructure
Managed hosting with automated deploys, daily backups, and TLS on everything.
Payments
Stripe for subscriptions. We never store card data ourselves.
Engagements
Fixed-scope builds, with hosting and support on a monthly retainer after launch.
Ownership
For custom work, you own the code. We'll host it or hand it over, your call.

Business record

Who we are, on the record.

Published for customers, vendors, and platform verification. If you need documentation beyond what's here, ask and we'll send it.
